Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. We love your B & B and will have wonderful memories from our first trip to Ireland.

Jenn, USA

Thanks for a wonderful stay. I had a great time visiting Galway. It is beautiful here. I hope to make it back some day.

Maria Dublin,Ireland

Hi John and Anne, I am writing to thank you both for your warm welcome and generous hospitality when we stayed with you. We really enjoyed our chats and thanks for the hints and tips! Your attention to detail is to be commended. Our room and beds were comfortable and perfect for our needs and your breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day.  August 2012

Jane & Clive Williams - U.K.

"Just wanted to thank both of you for your excellent hospitality last weekend. I have been thinking of you today as I think this was 'Ladies Day'....I sincerely hope your weather was better than ours - we are looking through cloud at the sheep in the field opposite!- we will certainly stay with you and also recommend you to anyone we know who is travelling that way!" Warmest wishes Jane & Clive Williams - U.K.

"Just wanted to say thanks so much for all that you did for us. You have a lovely home and were our favorite hosts of all. Thank you for having me at your home as a guest at your lovely B&B. It was a terrific location and I just loved walking along the promenade to Galway Centre. I just wanted you to know that I had a great time in Galway and thanks again for your hospitality. Eileen Lacovara - U.S.A. I just want to let you know how greatful we are for you having called us yesterday after our check out, to let us know about the camera charger. This allows us to have pictures available for the rest of our journey. I also want to let you know that fortunately, we found everything I was looking for inside the bag. Paula my daughter packed everything so quickly, she could not remember if everything was inside it, but in fact, it was." Maria Antonieta Gurra - Mexico

Cheryl Draper - U.S.A.

"Thank you again for your excellent service and hospitality, and hope to see you again sometime in the future. Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you what a wonderful time we had in Ireland. Due to our luggage fiasco, I am so thankful we started with you. You were both so nice and kept us laughing thru what could have been a disasterous beginning to our trip, just wanted to say thanks so much for all that you did for us. You have a lovely home and were our favorite hosts of all. Cheryl Draper - U.S.A.

Megan Zach - U.S.A.

I wanted to send you a note to say "thank you" for all of your hospitality during our stay in Galway. I will never forget how you warmed us up with coffee and toast upon our arrival, after coming into the city on a dreary day. It was greatly appreciated."  Megan Zach - U.S.A.

Naomi & Clyde Ridge U.S.A.

"Clyde and I want to thank you for the wonderful accommodations last month at your B&B. With all that good food, I didn't gain a pound, and he only gained 3 or 4. Sara-Ann (our travel agent) asked for our opinion & we gave you a hearty recommendation. She is planning to book someone else there soon. The picture that I took of the two of you turned out so good. You probably don't know you are that good looking. Our impressions of Ireland? Green, green, green. We found the people to be ultra friendly. We're ready to go back again." Naomi & Clyde Ridge U.S.A.

Best home holiday destination 2018

Winner: Galway

“It has to be Galway,” you told us. And so it proved.

Last year, Dingle took pride of place among your favourite home holiday destinations. But for 2018, the west has won, with Galway banking almost double the votes of any other place.

“There’s something about that city,” you said. “The moment I get off the bus, I get this buzz. I've yet to have one bad out night there.”

You hailed Galway’s “great energy” as “a perfect blend between traditional Ireland and modern society”, and called it Ireland’s “culture capital”.

The city is “young, vibrant and distinctly Irish,” readers added, with “heart-warming hustle and bustle” that is “always welcoming at different times of the year.”
